A cinematic Te Ao Māori online escape-room adventure for two players. You work through 10 levels of story, puzzles, and challenges set in a magical Te Ao Māori game world. Available now at NZ$25 per room.
How many players is it for?
Two players. One plays as Māui and one as Hinengaro. Each sees different clues, so the game is built around collaboration — you need each other to progress.
How long do we get access?
7 days from the time of purchase. Plenty of time to play at your own pace, take breaks, and complete all 10 levels.
Do we need a console or download?
No. Mīharo plays entirely through a web browser — no download, no console. Open the game, enter your room code, choose your role, and play.
Can we play on phones?
Yes. Mīharo can be played on a laptop, desktop, tablet, or mobile phone through a browser. A stable internet connection is required for both players.
How do we receive our room code?
After purchase, your room code and password are sent automatically to the email you provided at checkout — usually within a minute. Check your spam folder if nothing arrives.
What happens after payment?
You receive an email with your room code and password. Go to the Play page, enter the code, choose your role, and the game begins. Both players use the same code.

Is it suitable for families and children?
Mīharo is recommended for ages 10+, or younger tamariki playing alongside an older player. It is grounded in Te Ao Māori story and magic, with puzzles that involve reading, reasoning, and teamwork. Two players are required — each on their own device. Clues can be tricky, so having a grown-up or older teen involved makes it more fun for younger players.
Do we need to be in the same room?
No. Mīharo is designed for remote or side-by-side play. Both players need their own device and a way to communicate — voice call, video call, or in person all work.
